Project Overview

TEMS Solar recently completed a large-scale domestic solar PV and battery storage installation for a home in Three Mile Cross, Reading. The homeowner’s objective was to maximise on-site solar generation, significantly reduce reliance on grid electricity, and install a future-ready system capable of supporting high household demand.

Following a detailed site survey and energy usage assessment, a bespoke solution was designed to deliver strong generation capacity alongside efficient battery storage.

Design & Installation

With 32 panels installed, the system was carefully designed to make full use of the available roof space while maintaining balanced string layouts for optimal performance. The Fox 10kW hybrid inverter was selected to efficiently manage the large PV array, household loads, and battery charging.

The Fox ECS high-voltage battery allows surplus solar energy to be stored and used later in the day, increasing self-consumption and reducing peak-time grid usage. The modular battery design also allows for future expansion should the homeowner’s energy requirements increase.

All works were completed by TEMS Solar’s in-house installation team, ensuring a high standard of workmanship, regulatory compliance, and a neat, professional finish throughout.
