TEMS Solar – Maintenance Plan Terms & Conditions

Eligibility

TEMS Solar maintenance plans are available to domestic (residential) customers only.
Commercial, agricultural, industrial, or mixed-use properties are excluded unless agreed in writing.

Services apply only to MCS-certified Solar PV systems. Proof of certification may be requested.


Contract Term

All maintenance plans (Orion, Andromeda, Corvus) are fixed-term contracts with a minimum duration of 24 months.

By subscribing, the Customer agrees to remain in the contract for the full 24-month term, subject to the cancellation terms below.


Payment Terms

  • Monthly payments are made in advance by Standing Order or approved recurring payment method
  • Prices exclude VAT unless stated otherwise
  • VAT is charged at the prevailing UK rate
  • Monthly fees are non-refundable
  • Non-payment may result in suspension of services

Services Included

Each maintenance plan includes a defined set of services, which are described on the TEMS Solar website and form part of this Agreement.

Services are provided on a fair-use basis and subject to the exclusions and limitations set out in these Terms & Conditions.


On-Site Visits & Scheduling

Where included, annual inspections and cleaning services:

  • Are limited to one visit per contract year
  • Are scheduled at the Service Provider’s discretion
  • Will not normally occur within the first 90 days of the contract unless required due to a verified system fault

All visits are subject to safe access, suitable weather conditions, and reasonable availability.


Repairs & Minor Repairs

Where included, minor repairs are defined as labour-only remedial works:

  • Taking no longer than 60 minutes
  • Not requiring replacement parts
  • Not requiring specialist access equipment
  • Not involving system redesign or upgrades

Parts, major works, and specialist equipment are chargeable separately.


Response Times

Response times refer to initial contact or attendance and apply Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays.
Weekend emergency contact details are provided for urgent safety-related issues only.

Response times do not guarantee immediate resolution.


Plan Upgrades & Downgrades

Customers may upgrade to a higher-tier plan at any time.

  • Upgrades take effect from the next billing cycle
  • Upgrade-specific services (such as inspections or cleaning) reset from the upgrade date
  • Downgrades are not permitted during the initial 24-month contract term

Exclusions

Maintenance plans do not include:

  • System upgrades, extensions, or redesigns
  • Manufacturer warranty replacements
  • Damage caused by misuse, vandalism, third parties, or extreme weather
  • Grid outages or DNO-related issues
  • Guaranteed system performance or generation levels
  • Specialist access equipment unless agreed separately

Maintenance plans are not insurance products.


Monitoring Disclaimer

Remote monitoring relies on third-party platforms, manufacturer services, and customer internet connectivity.
Continuous availability or accuracy is not guaranteed and does not constitute a performance warranty.


Customer Responsibilities

Customers must:

  • Provide safe and reasonable access to the system
  • Maintain internet connectivity for monitoring
  • Promptly report known faults
  • Notify TEMS Solar of any system modifications

Failure to meet these responsibilities may affect service delivery.


Cancellation & Early Termination

Customers may cancel only in accordance with applicable consumer law.

If the Customer terminates the contract early without fault on the part of TEMS Solar, the Customer remains liable for the remaining monthly payments.

This represents a fair and proportionate reflection of costs incurred, including system onboarding, monitoring setup, administration, and the provision or reservation of contracted services.

No refunds are provided for partial periods.


Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by UK law.
