Solar & Battery Installation – Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire
Project Overview
TEMS Solar completed a residential solar and battery installation in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire. The system was designed to provide efficient renewable energy generation alongside substantial battery storage, with a particular focus on making practical use of the available space inside the property.
System Design & Specifications
The installation delivers a total solar PV capacity of 4.57kWp using 11 TRINA SOLAR 415W modules. The solar array provides renewable electricity to help meet household energy demand and reduce reliance on grid power.
A GivEnergy 5kW hybrid inverter manages the system, integrating solar generation with battery storage. The installation is paired with a GivEnergy 9.5kWh battery, allowing surplus electricity generated during the day to be stored for use during the evening or periods of lower solar production.
Installation Highlights
A standout feature of this project is the compact equipment installation beneath the staircase. By positioning the inverter and battery in this otherwise potentially underused area, TEMS Solar made effective use of the home's internal space while keeping the key system components together in one location.
Results & Benefits
The installation provides the homeowner with:
Renewable electricity generation from 11 TRINA SOLAR modules
Increased potential for self-consumption through 9.5kWh battery storage
Reduced reliance on grid electricity
Space-efficient equipment placement beneath the staircase
Greater flexibility in household energy management
Conclusion
This project demonstrates how a solar and battery system can be tailored not only to a property's energy needs, but also to its practical layout. TEMS Solar combined TRINA SOLAR panels and GivEnergy technology with a compact equipment arrangement to support efficient renewable energy use while making good use of available indoor space.
