Project Overview
TEMS Solar completed a residential solar and battery installation in Waterlooville, Hampshire. The system was designed to provide reliable renewable energy generation alongside battery storage, helping the homeowner make greater use of self-generated electricity and reduce reliance on grid power.
System Design & Specifications
The installation delivers a total solar PV capacity of 3.74kWp using 9 TRINA SOLAR 415W modules. The array provides a practical source of renewable electricity, making effective use of the available roof space to support household energy demand.
A GivEnergy 3.6kW hybrid inverter manages the system, integrating solar generation with battery storage. The installation is paired with a GivEnergy 5.2kWh battery, allowing surplus electricity generated during the day to be stored for use during the evening or periods of lower solar production.
Installation Highlights
This system combines a compact solar array with integrated battery storage to create a practical home energy solution. The hybrid inverter coordinates solar generation and battery charging, helping the homeowner use more of the electricity generated on-site.
Results & Benefits
The installation provides the homeowner with:
Renewable electricity generation from 9 TRINA SOLAR modules
Increased potential for self-consumption through 5.2kWh battery storage
Reduced reliance on grid electricity
Greater flexibility in household energy use
Integrated solar and battery management with GivEnergy technology
Conclusion
This project demonstrates how a compact solar PV system paired with battery storage can help households make better use of renewable electricity. TEMS Solar delivered a tailored solution focused on efficient generation, practical energy storage, and long-term household energy savings.
