Solar & Battery Installation – Farnham, Surrey
Project Overview
TEMS Solar completed a residential solar and battery installation in Farnham, Surrey. The system was designed to provide reliable renewable energy generation alongside integrated battery storage, helping the homeowner make greater use of self-generated electricity and reduce reliance on the grid.
System Design & Specifications
The installation delivers a total solar PV capacity of 5.92kWp using 16 JA SOLAR 370W modules. The array was designed to make effective use of the available roof space and provide renewable electricity to support household energy demand.
A GivEnergy 5kW hybrid inverter manages the system, integrating solar generation with battery storage. The installation is paired with a GivEnergy 5.2kWh battery, allowing surplus solar energy generated during daylight hours to be stored for use when generation is lower, such as in the evening.
Installation Highlights
This system combines a 5.92kWp solar array with hybrid inverter technology and battery storage. The setup gives the homeowner greater flexibility in how generated electricity is used, helping to increase self-consumption and make better use of available solar energy.
Results & Benefits
The installation provides the homeowner with:
-
Renewable electricity generation from 16 JA SOLAR modules
-
Increased potential for self-consumption through battery storage
-
Reduced reliance on grid electricity
-
Greater flexibility in household energy use
-
Integrated solar and battery management with GivEnergy technology
Conclusion
This project demonstrates how combining solar PV with battery storage can help households make better use of renewable electricity. TEMS Solar delivered a tailored solution focused on efficient generation, practical energy storage, and long-term energy savings.
