Multi-Aspect Solar & Battery Installation – Bristol, Gloucestershire
Project Overview
TEMS Solar completed a residential solar and battery installation in Bristol. The system was designed to maximise renewable energy generation across south and west-facing roof aspects, while incorporating battery storage to help the homeowner increase self-consumption and reduce reliance on grid electricity.
System Design & Specifications
The installation delivers a total solar PV capacity of 4.15kWp using 10 TRINA SOLAR 415W modules. The panels were installed across the south and west-facing roof sections, making effective use of the available roof space and providing opportunities for solar generation at different times of the day.
A GivEnergy 3.6kW hybrid inverter manages the system, integrating solar generation with battery storage. The installation is paired with a GivEnergy 5.2kWh battery, allowing surplus electricity generated during daylight hours to be stored for use when solar production is lower.
Installation Highlights
A key feature of this project is the multi-aspect panel arrangement. By using both south and west-facing roof sections, the system can capture strong midday sunlight alongside later-afternoon generation. The integrated battery provides additional flexibility, helping the homeowner make greater use of the electricity generated on-site.
Results & Benefits
The installation provides the homeowner with:
-
Solar generation across south and west-facing roof aspects
-
Increased self-consumption through integrated battery storage
-
Reduced reliance on grid electricity
-
Efficient use of available roof space
-
Greater flexibility in household energy use
Conclusion
This project demonstrates how a carefully planned multi-aspect solar installation can make effective use of different roof orientations. TEMS Solar delivered a tailored solution combining TRINA SOLAR panels, GivEnergy hybrid inverter technology, and battery storage to support efficient renewable energy use and long-term household savings.
